What began as a personal pursuit has evolved into a hospitality experience designed for intimate gatherings, private events, and curated super clubs. Meet the Chef & Founder

Chef Oscar is the creative force behind Terra y Sabor, a hospitality experience rooted in the belief that dining is more than a meal it is a moment of connection, emotion, and memory.

His journey began at home, surrounded by the warmth of family gatherings, where he watched his grandmother and aunt prepare meals that brought people together. What started as fascination quickly became passion not just for the flavors, but for the process, the care, and the way food created connection around the table.

While facing a period of uncertainty, Chef Oscar found himself returning to the kitchen not just as a craft, but as a source of purpose. Cooking became a way to reconnect, to create, and to bring people together during a time when direction felt unclear.

What began as preparing meals for his wife and her coworkers soon grew into something more. Encouraged by the response to his food and driven by a desire to refine his skills, he pursued formal training at the Institute of Culinary Education and completed his externship at the Michelin-recognized restaurant Torrisi in New York City.

Rooted in his Dominican heritage and shaped by the diverse culinary landscape of New York particularly the Bronx Chef Oscar developed a style that blends bold, soulful flavors with refined French technique. His cooking reflects both where he comes from and the environment that shaped him.

Rather than following the traditional restaurant path, he chose to build something more personal and intentional. Through Terra y Sabor, Chef Oscar creates private dining experiences that allow for artistic expression, attention to detail, and genuine connection offering guests more than a meal, but a story told through food.

As a self-driven chef on his fourth career path, his journey is defined by resilience, curiosity, and a commitment to growth. Largely self-taught beyond formal training, he continues to evolve his craft with the same passion that first drew him into the kitchen.

His goal is simple: to create unforgettable experiences where every dish carries meaning, and every gathering leaves a lasting impression.
